Where Every Setting Lives
A map of the admin area, so you can find the switch you're looking for.
How the admin area is organised
Everything is reached from Admin, which is the single hub for running your Coterie. Within it, Main settings holds five tabs, ordered the way you'd actually set a Coterie up: what it looks like, how people find it, how they get in, how it runs, and what your public page says.
Main settings
Branding
Your identity. Account name and URL slug, brand name, tagline, logo, square logo icon, and accent colour.
The accent colour here overrides the Primary colour on the Theme page. If you set a colour on Theme and it doesn't seem to apply, this is why — the accent wins.
Discovery
Whether people can find you, and what they see when they do. List in Discover is the master switch: Public puts you in the directory, Private keeps you out of it entirely.
The rest fills in your directory card — cover image, About description, category, location, country, format, and cadence. Format and cadence also appear on your public Title Page if you've enabled its stats row.
Joining & Access
How people get in — a single choice between Apply and wait for review and Join immediately, applied to both Discover and your apply page — plus the questions asked on your apply page. This is also where paid membership requirements appear once you've set up plans. See Joining & Access for how the switches interact.
Sessions & Rules
How the community actually runs. Niche matching, allowed content channels, circle rotation, competitor exclusion, strike threshold, content policy, and session notification and reminder settings.
Title Page
Your public page at /c/your-slug — headline, body, media gallery, footer links, and whether it's published. Unpublished, that URL falls back to a plain apply form.

Two things that catch people out
Payments and Subscription are different things. Payments is money flowing to you from your members. Subscription is money flowing from you to Coterie for the platform. They sit next to each other in Admin and the names are easy to swap.
Branding, Theme and White-label all affect how things look. Branding is your logo and accent colour. Theme is the full palette, fonts and corner radius. White-label (Pro) is favicon, page title and description, plus hiding Coterie's own navigation. If an appearance change isn't showing up, check whether another surface is overriding it.
