Why it's worth customizing
Every automated email your community sends — an invite, a session reminder, an application decision — is a moment your brand is in someone's inbox. Generic, obviously-templated copy undercuts the branding work you've done everywhere else. Owning that copy is a small effort with an outsized effect on how polished your community feels.
What you can customize
Override the copy of individual system emails per-community — invites, reminders, application approvals and rejections, and other transactional messages members receive. You're editing the message content itself, not just swapping a logo into a template.
Your own sender
By default, Coterie sends your community's email for you. If you'd rather send from your own domain and infrastructure, you can configure your own SMTP sender instead — useful if you already have email infrastructure you want everything running through consistently.
